About Marsha Clements
After 21 years as a classroom teacher, Marsha joined a nationally known professional development company training teachers in effective teaching strategies, Accelerated Reader and Reading Renaissance. Since then, she has shared reading strategies and effective teaching techniques with thousands of educators across the country. She now owns her own consulting company and trains educators in ways to improve student achievement. Her areas of expertise include a focus on literacy, elementary mathematics, effective instructional strategies, helping struggling at-risk students achieve success in school, classroom management and organization, and preventing school violence and drug abuse. Marsha’s honest, common sense approach combined with humor and enthusiasm help convey her passion for students and teachers. Her mission is to provide quality training and consulting services that enhance the morale and performance of educators and provide the tools necessary for them to make a difference in the lives of the children they teach.
Marsha is a successful grant writer for schools and nonprofit organizations. Grants can come from corporations, foundations and all levels of government to improve your facilities, equipment, training for teachers, and many areas that will impact the learning of your students.
Marsha has a Master’s Degree in Education from West Texas State University and is a Reading Specialist. She is certified in early childhood and gifted and talented. As a teacher, she received training from some of the best educators in the country including Harry Wong, Jim Trelease, and Bob Marzano. She has trained with The Grantsmanship Center as a researcher and grant writer. She has access to their grant database. This not only highlights available grants, but greatly helps in the research process.
